Homebirth Services
Christine can provide prenatal care and attend homebirths for clients living in South Carolina or those who choose to give birth there. Homebirth services include:
PRENATAL CARE
- Monthly and weekly prenatal visits at the birth center, including lab work
- Home visits at 36 weeks and postpartum
- Referrals for ultrasound, childbirth education, and nurse-midwife/physical consult as needed
LABOR AND BIRTH
- Continuous care during the entire labor and birth process
- Advocacy role in hospital should transport become necessary
POSTPARTUM
- Newborn exam and breastfeeding assistance
- Education about self-care and newborn care
- Postpartum home visit at 24-36 hours
- Postpartum home visit at 3-4 days, including Newborn Screening test
- Daily phone calls to check on mother and baby for 1-2 weeks
- 6-week postpartum check up at the birth center
COST
- $3000 – accept cash, insurance, and Medicaid
- Additional charges which may apply: Additional lab fees, visits to other health care providers, birth supplies, water birth supplies (if not using built-in bathtub)
